Has Your Road Been Worked On Lately?
A few weeks ago
the TWG was contacted about County equipment doing work in the
City. We asked, “Where?” The location, on MLK Dr. in the City
across from Comm. Pennamon’s house. We investigated. The
PWD Director, Larry Thurman, has written us that it was his decision
to do this work. He said one load of dirt, one piece of equipment,
and one man did the work. You can go to

Also, why was this a priority over other problems in the COUNTY? We
did some further investigation, and have found that this work was
done in the City, but not in the City Limits. The piece of
property that this work was done in front of is owned by the City of
Monticello. Other property on that side of MLK Dr. is in
the City limits. Strange, but true. We think Mr. Thurman and the
PWD should be working in the County on bigger problems. Maybe you
know of some problems he could work on. Call him and let him know
about any roads, ditches, etc. in your area that need work. He can
