JCWSA (Jasper County Water and Sewer Authority) wants
more county dollars
JCWSA
has sent the County an invoice, which appears to be additional dollars on top
of what the taxing district will generate. The commissioners agreed that the
taxing district funds will come directly from the Tax Commissioner. This is
very interesting because it appears that the water authority is taking legal
action against the County.

During the meeting three
of the same members were reappointed at the BOC meeting for
"consistency". Certainly the finances of the JCWSA have been
consistently getting worse as they consistently made poor decisions over the
years. Why not appoint the same people
and get the same consistent results? The
vote was 4-1 with Patrick against.
