SURE YOU ARE REGISTERED TO VOTE!
Elections are fast approaching. Residents who
need to register should take action soon. The primary will be held on July 20,
and any necessary runoffs will be held on Aug. 10.
Residents who wish to
register for the July 20 primary have until June 21 at 5 p.m. to get signed
up. Those who are unsure if they are
registered to vote are encouraged to check with the Jasper County registrar’s office
(706-468-4908).
Seats on the Jasper County Board of Education that will
be on the ballot in the fall include those currently held by Bobby Norris
(District 1), Joel Gaston (District 3), Joy Wild (District 5). TWG does not know who has qualified for
these seats.
